Presenters
Elisha Wachman, MD: Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Medicine
Dr. Wachman received her MD from the Boston University School of Medicine before completing her pediatric residency at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Children’s Hospital Boston. She then pursued her neonatology fellowship at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. She is currently an attending neonatologist at BMC and a leader in neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) quality improvement and research at BMC.
Lenora Marcellus, Ph.D.: Associate Professor, University of Victoria, School of Nursing
Dr. Lenora Marcellus is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Victoria. She has practiced as an RN for over 30 years in a variety of maternal-infant settings and roles. Her current research interests include perinatal substance use, neonatal opioid withdrawal, and supporting infants in foster care. She is a member of the Canada Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Partnership Network Action Team on FASD Prevention from a Women’s Determinants of Health Perspective.
Bonny Whalen, MD: Newborn Hospitalist and Newborn Nursery Medical Director, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock; Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Dr. Bonny L. Whalen is a pediatrician in Lebanon, New Hampshire and is affiliated with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She received her medical degree from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and has been in practice for over 20 years. Dr. Whalen’s areas of focus are inpatient newborn nursery and lactations consult.
Kate MacMillan, MD, MPH: Pediatric and Newborn Hospitalist; Massachusetts General Hospital for Children
Dr. Kathryn MacMillan, MD is a pediatrics specialist in Lebanon, NH. She currently practices at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. Dr. MacMillan received her medical degree from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth completing her residency at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
